Kingdom vs Kingdom Season 21 recap

Castle day was 12 September 2026. Prep scores, castle takes, holds, and the kingdoms that ran the table.

September 13, 2026

Castle day for Season 21 was 12 September 2026. Prep week is over, the sieges are done, and the results are on MightPulse now.

Open any kingdom and you get this cycle in one place: who they fought, the prep score, whether the castle fell, and who sat as High King. Historic KvKs are in the table under that. This post is the season-wide version of that page. 1,128 matchups, 8 kingdoms on a bye.

Browse kingdoms or jump to a known one like Kingdom 1.

The season in numbers

Prep is scored on both sides of a war, so the raw total looks huge. Counted once per matchup, kingdoms put up about 3.92 trillion prep points this cycle. Median kingdom score was 3.26B. Mean sat a bit higher at 3.47B, which is the whales pulling the average up.

If you lost prep, you still had a real shot at keeping the throne. A little under two in five defending kingdoms held. If you won prep, you converted a castle take about 62% of the time. Prep is not the war.

Highest prep scores

These are the ten biggest scores, win or lose. K240 lost the matchup and still sits second.

Kingdom 1 landed 87th with 7.30B against K87 (3.52B) and took the castle. Not a top-ten prep, still a clean sweep.

The smallest prep win of the season was K245 at 448M over K386. They took the castle too. You do not need 10B to finish the job.

Winning prep did not mean winning the castle

The headline of the cycle is K301. Biggest prep score in the game this season, 16.2B to 13.96B, and they did not take the castle. K240 held. That is the highest scoring hold of Season 21, and it came against the highest scoring attack.

K172 is the same story one step down: 12.37B, third on the prep board, siege failed against K162. K417 won 11.77B to 11.14B and also bounced off K273.

Highest prep scores that failed the siege:

K359 has never lost a prep in 15 recorded KvKs. This time they won prep by 40 million on a 10.4B war and still could not take the castle. K417 is 14 for 14 on prep and had the same weekend.

Full wins (prep and castle)

704 kingdoms won both. Highest scoring sweeps:

K1085 is the one to bookmark: highest prep that actually converted, and 9 castle takes in 10 career KvKs. K231 is 13 of 15 all-time and doubled K57 this cycle (11.81B to 5.76B).

A few of those sweeps were tight. K640 beat K777 10.18B to 10.07B and still took the castle. K656 won 9.47B to 9.43B and did the same.

Newer kingdoms in the 2200s were in this KvK too. K2254 took K2264. Prep was 3.07B to 2.53B.

Closest prep wars

These are the smallest gaps as a share of the combined score. A couple of them were decided by about a million points on a 6B or 3B board.

K1587 vs K1594 is the one people will quote. Same 6.50B line on both sides, 1.22 million in it, and the winner finished the castle.

Biggest stomps

Largest prep ratios among winners. Most of these converted. One of them did not.

Career notes (8 or more KvKs on record)

Season 21 sits on top of 18 recorded seasons in our history table. A few kingdoms have been doing this for a long time.

Never lost a castle after winning prep, at least 8 KvKs:

K924 is the only one at 100%. They went again this cycle, 8.20B prep against K435, and took the castle.

Never lost prep, 12 or more KvKs: K203 and K123 are 16 for 16. K359 is 15 for 15 (and failed the siege this time, as above). K417 is 14 for 14. A handful of others sit at 13 or 12.

How to read it on the site

On a kingdom page, the KvK block is at the top of the lower half:

  1. Snapshot of the two kingdoms (active players, governor power, kills, and so on)
  2. This season's result in one sentence, with prep, castle, and the king
  3. Prep day scores (the five-day board)

The table under the KvK tab is the full history. Prep scores only attach to this cycle. Older rematches against the same opponent keep their own result.
